Visual Art

SHSA's visual art program encourages artists of all ages to develop their individual vision and technical abilities. Visual art is enjoyable and provides essential creative, critical thinking, sequential thinking, and problem-solving skills. Our visual art program also nourishes the inquisitive spirit of artists, pushing them beyond their comfort zone, resulting in distinctive works of art.

Semester-long, after-school art classes are divided into age-appropriate courses, providing an atmosphere for all to thrive!

All classes are semester-long, 16-week courses, with two makeup weeks at the end of each semester. There is a 10% discount if multiple students from the same family are taking courses in the same art discipline. All required materials are included in the cost of tuition. There will be an art show at the end of each semester featuring one artwork per student on display in the atrium of the UAC. Instructors are responsible for matting and labeling artwork and returning all artwork before the last day of class each semester.
