This poignant production is the story of the bond between six southern women in northern Louisiana who are ‘delicate as magnolias, but as tough as steel.’ The play is based on the family experience of the death of author Robert Harling's sister, Susan Harling-Robinson, in 1985. The characters use humor and lighthearted conversations, inner strength and unwavering love to cope with the seriousness of the underlying situation.
The play is a collaborative effort between Sacred Heart School for the Arts and Sacred Heart Academy.
